i could wax poetic
to make sense of today
but i’ve got no words
except to say
days like these
have a penchant
for nostalgia
gray clouds
and a bit of rain
for these are
reminders
of plans maid
plans failed
where one is
versus
where one
is meant to be
those gray clouds
are however eclipsed
by the sunshine
of touchstones
reminders
of who you
truly are
and as fragmented
as that person is
who you’ve become
everyone i reckon
deserves a day
to themselves
to be told
you are doing
all write
everything
will be fine
and to just
simply
feel the love
